I have saw many new themes during the 2023, devs are always accept new themes.

@jakong008 EmulationStation learned recently to use strftime [1] compatible format string to represent the date, which allows you to use the month name (short/long) when displaying a date.

You'll need to get the current -dev release in order to use this.

@pit1209 I didn't even know someone copied my theme and passed it off as their own. Thanks for telling me.

I'd say just delete that one and download my minimal theme, it has all the files I mentioned above.

update:

removed CRT theme renamed "HD" theme added grid view

the CRT only theme is now unneeded so I removed it and instead renamed the "HD" one and added grid view.

@clyde Thank you very much for your kind words. I actually do have a couple of other ideas I'd like to work on. I'll be sure to post them if I do!

Try the official image from the RetroPie website. Custom images are not supported here. If you have an issue with the official image we'll be glad to help. If you're using one from another source, contact who created that image for assistance.

Just so you know, I wasn't saying it's bad. I personally like it, I was trying to say it looks cleaner. Sometimes I hate how I phrase things.

Here's an alternate mockup from above .. using the console artwork instead of a snap placeholder.

Was thinking this would be better for the ES main menu.
